  1. I'd add to that that heavy tanks were a bad idea to begin with. The US was wise not to waste resources on them.

  3. I mean, by that logic all the pre-metal aircraft were stealth aircraft. If I were to award that title, it'd probably go to the Night Witches. They were a group of Russian women pilots who were only given biplanes. They would fly up to altitude at night, cut their engines and then glide to their targets before diving low enough to drop bombs right in trenches, restart their engines and tear away at high speed and low altitude before they could be shot down.
