@evensgrey I mean, if you've got a dense enough power supply (ultracapacitors or some kind of high-density chemical fuel either traditionally combusted or run through a fuel cell) you could get enough power for a short-range craft. You could help the miniaturization by replacing the pilot with a computer. At that point, though, you're probably just better off making a better target-seeking torpedo than an underwater fighter as you only need to get it enough power for a 1 way trip with 1 weapon and don't need to worry about how the parts will hold up to repeated use. It's not that it's impossible to design small underwater combat craft. It's that it's hard to design ones that outperform a torpedo for a given effective range (especially if you're wanting the pilots back). Probably better that way, though, if less cool
