And this is why learning the cause and effect patterns that drive history is the entire point...unfortunately most history teachers and textbooks just view it as a list of names and dates to memorize for....reasons?

3 way conflicts are kinda like that. Hell, there's a game called "diplomacy" that is that principle distilled into a pure form.

Just the Israeli-Palistinian conflict comes from Britain promising the same land to 2 different groups of people. Iraq is 3 groups of people that hate each other....the list is nearly endless.

Ioannis Morakis I haven't used it, but I know a great player who swears by elections.

951 to battle of Hastings, where England was permanently conquered by Normans. Then there's when the French took parts of England in 1216 including London. Sure that was a civil war with parts of England wanting to be under French rule, but France still technically occupied England for a while. (though calling them "invaders" could be debated if you want to get technical) It's a damn good record if you're not counting the Norman rule over England as a constant occupation for that whole length of time, but it's still not flawless, and still short of 1000 (even if you rule out 1216 on technical grounds).

I don't know about African ones, but considering that they were drawn by the same people that put together the (at best) criminally negligent middle east borders that Absolutely lead to current conflicts (Iraq being 3 groups that hated each other seperated from others they would rather have been with, the Israeli-Palistinian conflict being started be Britain promising the same land to 2 groups with no concern for the consequences, etc)...well I have to assume it's true there too.

Or does CK2 taste like this?

Brem Curt that's the jist of it. Once the treaty that ended WW1 was signed, WW2 was basically inevitable.
