Hello, I have a question: My rough calculations have changing the impact angle of the blade from 90° to 45° as decreasing the effective edge angle by about 29% since it's taking a longer path to get to the thickest part of the blade. I imagine even ignoring the sheer stesses of the drawing motion, this increase in effective sharpness would itself contribute to the cutting ability of the blade. Am I off base with this? If not, how much of an effect would you say this has?
