Agency in Repose here this took like 10 seconds http://warcriminalswatch.org/index.php/the-culpable/36-the-culprits/54-rice-condoleeza

@jansamohyl7983 ha!

@KLm912 still gonna be useful to get into congress if we can get him there, but yeah, plenty of smarter progressive pundits online to look to for news. Let's put him where he's more useful: calling establishment hacks liars to their face on the floor of congress. Even if he misses a few, he's in what's called a target rich environment.

Don't ignore the joke at the end of Hillary's tweet. It's a microcosm of the whole situation. Deny the severity/existence of the issue and then pivot to distract. The entire Russiagate hysteria is a deflection from the contents of the DNC leaks to stop people from talking about the rigging of the primary just as much as the joke is an attempt to deflect from the problems with the prescedent this sets. Same tactic; different scale.

@zerefdragneel2289 side note, another way to look at the Jobs Guarentee, is as a public option for employment. I know that's more of a semantic point than a real arguement, but food for thought.

A primer for those unconvinced: https://youtu.be/34LGPIXvU5M

@ocumstweezers you are just determined to misunderstand me aren't you? Kinda makes talking to you pointless. Bye.

The total lack of capacity to analyze art from the people offended by their choice of form of protest is stunning. They spelled out exactly what they were trying to show with their expression, and STILL people don't get it, which really makes me question if any of them have a single 🤬 to give about actually appreciating art in any form.
2
The only thing he got wrong is saying that the US was a roughly evenly balanced mixed economy (that would be a Nordic-style mixed economy). The rest was honesty so accurate that it stunned me to see it on a MSM US TV news show. The US is about as extreme on Capitalism as China is on "communism" with the extremes being countries like Somalia and Cuba, and one of the multiple ways to achieve a balance in the middle being the Nordic countries.

If, by this point, people don't understand what it means their ignorance is willful. If you think a simple change in slogan will fix willful ignorance, go talk to a young earth creationist about anything that involves more than 6,000 years worth of time and get back to us on how that goes.
2
@Eric-vh3ur thank you for admitting you actually don't believe in a meritocracy and oppose social mobility and equality of opportunity.
2
I had the same thought
2
@teenkitsune you're expecting Trump supporters to acknowledge reality or facts?
2
@dillchives no, that's rediculous and never going to happen. Wtf are you smoking?
2
Micheal Emmanuel "extrapolated from your point is that they are racist because they voted for Trump" ...um no, I pretty much said the exact opposite in sentence #3. Nice strawman though, but try and re-read my comment without your rage goggles on.
2
@brandonb.5304 What art was destroyed?
2
@davidcadman4468 it's surprising (to me at least) how he filtered it that well so that it didn't make him more dehydrated. I'm really impressed he managed. I immediately thought of those early humans who went adrift and ended up washing ashore and settling new lands far from their homes and how remarkable an achievement that must have been. (There's even some evidence suggesting that the first humans in the Americas came by landing in South America before the ice started to clear)

We're deporting asylum seekers illegally for starters, so say nothing of the concentration camps, family seperation, and worse.
2
It's impossible to bring both sides together when one side's political aim is to genocide the other. Appeasement will never work.
2
@arckinenso7615 exactly. We're fighting for the innocents, not those who are tfg.
2
Yeah, if we're gonna recount, how about we invite in UN election inspectors to watch this whole election. We'll all argee to that in a heartbeat, right?
2
Was it a day ending in "y"?
2
And you have just identified yourself as part of the problem they were protesting.

More urban areas is probably good for her changes. Likewise, gerrymandering by the GOP is inclined to pack all the strongest Dem support in as few districts as possible, sacrificing a few seats to be guaranteed blue while having as many other districts with a small but secure GOP over Dem lead. The same mechanisms they use to try and have the vote end up disproportionately Red in final seat count would be inclined to create a district that Nina would have a better shot in. No guarantees, of course, but there is reason to hope.
2
she always was who we saw this election. 2010 was just more mask on.
2
Glad to have you with us on the sane side of things.
2
@ChrisMcNellie nope, she, like many of our politicians, really is that evil.
2
He's awesome!
2
I guess too much golf-playing can make it confusing who is ahead when not on the green.
2
Always has been. Always will be.

While I don't deny what's meant by "white privilege" exists, I find the framing absolutely horrible. Describing it as white privilege only makes sense if whites are both the only ones to receive it and it can't/shouldn't be extended to everyone. What we have isn't "white privilege" but basic human rights, privilege, and decency which are being denied to portions of our population. That framing is not only more accurate, but generates sympathy instead of defensiveness.
2
@mikecurry6847 nope, stocks in giving dividends and voting rights fall outside the definition
2
Yeah, if you can bring the right to repair movement (which has a particular bone to pick with Deere as I understand) together with the strikers in an organized way, they'd be hurting even more.
2
@atrociousconsequences4432 or any establishment politician for that matter.
2
@loulfw2513 do you know who would be next in line for nomination, or are you just looking for empty performative gestures?
2
So many "progressives" arguing like conservatives when it is their complacency moderate attitudes being protested, and it's disgusting and disappointing.
2
Like "think of the children" wherever the right brings up mental health it's just a smokescreen to cover views they know they can't get away with expressing honestly. It's NEVER genuine!
2
Not to mention, an early demonetization kills nearly all the ad revenue from the video before the review can be completed.
2
@satyasyasatyasya5746 I see what you did there
2
Nathan or we'll wrench the party from their slimy hands...either way, I'm not picky as long as the corrupt tools go away and quickly.
2
Wells Bush, Obama, and Trump have all been called traitors frequently (and correctly, though that's a different discussion). Your argument is invalid.
2
@HarryS77 denialism isn't quite the most accurate word. "Appeasement" is what I'd call it
2
Who would bet against you though?
2
You don't want someone's past drug use to be used as a pretence to fuck people over? We need to do more work to stop bigots from getting into the white house. Biden is ageist AF.
2
Don Taylor the only ones who have done janitorial work are all criticizing this fake solidarity, and yet all these people who have apparently never touched a pushbroom in their lives are telling us how we're wrong. The patronizing classism is honestly disgusting.
2
@PlazDreamweaver yup, it's very common that the argument someone is actually defending isn't the one they're actually saying. Example in this thread being R A who's actual position is "protests shouldn't ever be inconvenient. 'You people' should just get back in line and not bother your 'betters'"
2
Fascists just are walking self parodies....with murderous intent and access to weapons.
2
Feel free to cross reference and see how mant of Umberto Eco's 14 characteristics of Ur-Fascism Tucker just blazed through (spoilers, though, it's most of them, in almost no time at all....while talking about a cartoon candy)
2
I'm not super concerned about this tbh. We had a similar situation with AlJazera America, without much issue of buying into the propaganda of the original site. We already had a small portion of authoritarians with a not so subtle boner for Putin, and sure they're becoming louder, but even with the number of people joining them who immediately assume that the enemy of their enemy is their friend, I don't see that as a runaway situation, but just some vocal idiots.
2
Well duh, on the rare instances it does, the good cop gets fired.
