Bernie should have considered that the cheating freed him from his promise, but he's literally honorable to a fault.

They don't. That's why promises to endorse the winner have been such a big deal in the last 2 presidential primaries.

David Owens imagine walking into a shady used car dealership and saying "give me the best deal you have, but I'm not leaving this lot without a car." What kind of deal do you expect you would get? Any situation where you're not willing to stand up, say "no deal" and walk away is a situation you should expect to be taken advantage of in. Not only is accepting a loss in withdrawing support as part of a demand for fairness the entire basis for a strike, but we even see monkeys go out of their way to demand fair treatment because we have an evolved sense that when we don't demand fairness, we won't get it. It's just that we've been conditioned to ignore the evolved sensibilities that enabled our survival and held together our social groups since before we were even hominids. This is why voting for a "lesser of 2 evils" every election cycle keeps resulting in a worse choice of evils every following election cycle. In short, the worldview you have been tought to accept is how we got Hillary vs Trump in the first place.

Melissa H as long as a progressive doesn't get in office, he's done the job he was payed to do. The establishment dems aren't weak/misguided allies. They are the oligarchy's first active line of defense.

Derek Watts I believe the best chance at step 1 is a 2-pronged attack both primarying dems and voting 3rd party when that fails (especially if there is any hint of foul play). Others go further saying that the only way to do step 1 is to do step 3. There is precedent for this view too (though I don't think it ideal). When was the last time you saw a Whig candidate?

It's always been a war on progressives. That's why once they're out of the race, the election is treated like a gentleman's game by the establishment.
