  4.  Cheesie Horde  violence for political gain as a definition is useless because all politics contains violence for political gain, so everything supporting any form of politics would be supporting terrorism. Definitions have to be narrow enough to not encompass everything or they're useless. If you have one with more utility in describing reality you're welcome to give a counter example but "no, that one's bad because I don't like it" doesn't cut it.

Do you think how you're talking right now makes us on the left look good? It doesn't. It makes us look weasily, weak, and whiny. I expect an unwillingness to defign how someone is using terms from people on the other side, not ours.
