Of course it's been experienced before....back when the same ideology reared its head in Germany last century. Today's enemy is nothing new, and we better not kid ourselves about what it is.

@jonathans8760 I seem to have misread your comment slightly. I still stand by saying we have a Nazi problem, but apologize for it being a bit of a non-sequitur. But to your actual point, it's absolutely based on nothing. Bigotry is fundamentally about divide and conquer (even though most bigots aren't consciously aware of it). Just like a far more evil version of schoolyard bullying, the actual differences used for the discrimination are basically arbitrary ways of trying to put someone below themselves because their pathetic egos need the validation of imagining themselves better than others and will use force to preserve that. All the forms bigotry takes are just masks to hide that pathetic truth.
