  1. vortexgen1 the idea that money made from investment doesn't get counted with income made from labor is absurd. Income is income and the income tax should be just that: a tax on total income from all sources. If anything, capital gains should be a tax on top of the income tax to offset wealth's tendency to concentrate itself.

Lawrence Taylor true, but at a certain point, you expect to have that overshadowed by the process largely being hands-off except if something went wrong (at which point you would turn the machine off to fix the problem). The previews of the factories I saw years ago made it seem like it was mostly humans overseeing machines doing the work, as opposed to humans working in the middle of machines in operation. It seems that wasn't actually how they went on to run.
