And that's not even getting into the fact that missing the deadlines for climate change will amount to a generational genocide. We need to get off fossile fuels asap.

@davidmayberry3190 Bernie's Green New Deal, in not scrimping on the "New Deal" part made sure they were taken care of. If Biden's doesn't end up doing so, we attack him from the left on that. Really, though, the skillsets used in the overwhelming majority of fossile fuel jobs are transferable to some aspect or another of renewable energy. It's going to take a lot of people who know how to move and use dangerous heavy machinery to set up all those windmills and solar pannels and the like, and every one of those will need a foundation. The equipment used for most of that job is often the exact same stuff used to set up things like fracking wells. There is a hell of a lot of blue collar work in the coming green revolution needing the exact same kind of strong hands and skillests used by the fossile fuel industry today. It's not like the jobs we're going to need them to transition to are going to be that different than what they already do. They 100% do not need to "learn to code" or anything drastic like that, so I believe in them.
