  3. Here's a little cue you can look for: Uniforms matter and colors matter. Police normally wear blue because it invokes feelings of calm and rational behavior in the viewer and wearer alike. This subtly promotes descalation for all parties. If you see officers in black, a choice has been made to abandon even the appearance of descalation to project power and domination. If you ever see a cop in black, you have a problem. If you see cops in black and don't see that as strange, you have a crisis. This is the crisis boiling over. Trump is able to act like he does because a dictator's toolkit was left in the Oval Office for him.
