Antonio Small the bible doesn't say "be good" by any modern definition of the term. It says to be obedient, which usually brings out the absolute worst in humans (see Milgram Shock and Stanford Prison experiments, along with a mountain of real world data to start) Ethics based on compassion produce a more pleasant world for people than those built on arbitrary authoritarian commands every day of the week. Organized religion at best retards moral development of humans.

C.F. Gauss not to mention that almost all of us have stolen something if you include digital piracy. Adultery is pretty poorly defined as well when you bring up things like 3-somes (whether you think they're a good idea is a separate issue to morality) and remarriages (which the bible isn't really keen on) Notably absent: rape, torture, slavery, abuse (in almost any of its many forms), pedophilia, genocide, etc

And breaking the other 8 aren't crimes.

The moral absolute is "obey God"

Eric Best I said they aren't crimes in agreement with and expanding on what you said. Hell, I break several of them almost religiously I'm not apologising for that downright sinful pun. Or that one

Corn Pone Flicks I use the term "tumblerites" because it's rather unambiguous. "Regressives" is another good one, and pretty descriptive of what the end results are. Calling them SJWs is like calling neonazi's the "alt-right" and I refuse to use their own more favorable terms rather than more accurate ones.

Ministry of Truth well, there was the middle ages where kings ruled by divine right with endorsement from the Catholic Church

With the exception of a short period in history in Islam's golden age (when they developed things like algebra) where they allowed intellectuals of all faiths, including "doubters", into their courts...only for the boom in science in that region to come to an abrupt end when the theocrats decided to censure non-Orthodox thought. People mistakenly attribute the halt in that science boom to the Mongols sacking of Baghdad, but that happened significantly later.

Corn Pone Flicks I generally read it as sarcastic too, and understood your meaning, though since some do wear it with pride and the literal reading is favorable to them (which can create some misunderstanding as we saw in this thread), I perfer to avoid it or at least put it in quotation marks. Just a suggestion on how to communicate what you mean more effectively through the limitations of text.

Would prefer it to be not focused so narrowly on religion (not that I have any love for organized religion), but maybe an expansion or other edition(s) if you need to keep the scope narrow for the game (which is also very understandable)

Ministry of Truth all true, but since you mentioned all 3 Abrahamic religions rather than just refering to Judeo-Christian faiths, I assumed we were talking about a broader timescale

It's wonderful to have a much more concise version of this than the one by darkmatter here https://youtu.be/dPOMNdvKZtQ (Not that I'm claiming this to be a copy or anything, of course, just that we need more people saying this, and linking to a 40 minute video isn't the greatest option)
