  19. You don't even need to read anything about socialism or communism. Just read a high-school level economics textbook (even a 100% capitalist one) and apply critical thinking. About half of the fundamental premises the entire economic system is built on are just plain wrong when you apply an ounce of critical thinking to them, and people are surprised when they whole system fails to work as advertised (and keeps acting in the same manner it has throughout its historical use).

Standard practice would be to demand they leave, then (if they don't) move in (leaving an escape path to minimize escalation risks), and arrest people starting with the leaders. If you can't see that surrounding people and arresting the camera men, followed by the reporters first is problematic then you're the one that's been "indoctrinated". And yes, ageist. The fact that, in your arrogance, you feel entitled to demand that you be treated like you know it all due to your age while calling the most diverse generations in US history (and those most likely to be registered as independents) "regimented" proves it. If we had a real law and order program, we'd have to make room in the prisons to have room for everyone that really should be in there (bankers, politicians, bad cops, etc).   60.  @Unclejamsarmy  have you considered the policies one has to put in place to make WV useful for coal (such as that absense of a good education, which I don't give a fuck if the adults don't like, the kids have a right to) or just the rapant ecological damage might interfere with other options? Maybe putting wind turbines on top of mountains and dams in the valleys would make more sense if there weren't coal companies buying up the mountains to take the tops off rip out the coal and dump the waste in the valleys. Resource extraction economies tend to not put much resources into developing infrastructure or the people, but those are policy choices. We could make different ones and still have a productive WV (with less externalized costs) than what we have if people like you weren't trying to find reasons to justify writing off whole regions just because of how the "free market" uses them.
