Wearing a tutu in a bar is "pushing it in someone's face" but attacking that person isn't pushing your bigotry and fists in their face? Just look at the rates of violence against trans people and this victim-blaming gets really ugly. "He was kinda asking for it" is almost NEVER an acceptable comment regardless of the situation and the fact that a lot of people in this country (and even often our laws) can be opposed to assault and then add that "but" is disturbed to say the least. We have freedom of expression in this country. If you don't like it, gtfo.
