@latayantheazran yeah, even for the same individual it's kinda random and contextual. Sometimes, the brain rolls with it and can process it. Other times, the memory gets kinda stuck, and causes long-term problems (clinically known as PTSD) because it never fully processes, kinda like a computer program that freezes and just continues hogging system resources and refuses to completely close. Duration of the trauma and heightened stress around the incident before and after tend to increase the chance for things going wrong, as does just bottling up the feelings created by the incident.

@Barry-Allen6 people aren't trained to not fear death. They can be trained to do certain things in spite of that fear, but boot camp doesn't erase the fear of death. That's absolutely absurd.
