  3. If I was merely in charge of the SATs I could improve critical thinking in this country, drastically, with ease: simply put identifying logical fallacies as part of reading comprehension. Curriculums would then change to teach to the test. However, it would piss off politicians, advertisers (let's face it, ads that actually tell you anything useful about a product are rare), and stupid parents who's children would be able to point out how full of shit they are to their faces.

  4.  GBomb Engineering  money is power. One use of power is to aquire more power. Putting more power in the hands of those who already have the most is only going to lead to an accelerating concentration of it, meaning less power/money for everyone else. You can see this empirically too, where if you give money to the poorest, it generates more than its value in economic activity, but if you give it to the richest, it generates less than its value in economic activity. Even more broadly you find that a nation's prosperity correlates strongly with how well it is able to prevent wealth from accumulating in a small number of hands. Trickle down economics does not work in any sense.

  5.  @John.T.  ballparking numbers but, if 90% is harmful BS and the remaining 10% is able to be found elsewhere (even in older sources), why cite the source at all? Btw, the 7 deadly sins aren't actually in the bible, nor that great a list to begin with.
