Last I heard the 2nd largest shareholder in Faux News was a Saudi prince. I'm sure that their choice of "news" network was a coincidence and that this never affected their programming though /s

@goofusmaximus1482 missed the most important detail of that: their viewers ranked as less informed than those who consume No news at all! That's why they were called "Faux News" long before the term "fake news" entered the common vernacular.

You're missing the even bigger picture. Corporate advertising has been twisting our news coverage for decades. We need them to make them afraid of directly supporting any news agency and chase them behind the plausible deniability of "a bot put our ads there" as as long as they are making a dirrect choice to advertise with a specific outlet they are going to be exerting influence on that outlet's content. That is unavoidable in the old model of advertising, and is utterly toxic to our nation. Hell, like some of the military ads on cable "news" a lot of the ads aren't even there to sell anything. Their main purpose is to buy influence over content.

@InterestsMayVary2234 if they get news from TV at all instead of realizing that news on cable tv is a fraud within a scam.

@SoSoKayla why would the Kremlin support the most war mongering mainstream "news" outlet? As much as Russia is shit to their own people, it's not in their interest to have America be domestically and internationally unstable. Everyone looses in that scenario.

@SoSoKayla of course the warmongering is against Russian interests. They're allied with countries like Syria and Iran and on the other side of the regional power struggle against countries like Israel and Saudi Arabia. We also keep putting both nukes and missile defense systems (both in violation of the treaties that helped end the cold war) right near their borders. They don't want that either, but Fox loves all of it. As for destabilizing the US, when we have even an economic issue we tend to take down the world economy. Russia uses the bigotry in their own country to distract from their own issues, but actually wants us to address ours rather than making a mess of the world, so even on the area where you'd think there to be agreement, there isn't. Don't believe me? Go look at some content from RT America and tell me they're right wing.

It's called a victim culture....you know, that thing they keep seeing everywhere else in the world because they're projecting.

It would've been gone a decade ago if your cable company and ISP weren't the same company.

Meanwhile which buisnesses have been boycotted for an algorithm placing their ads next to controversial content? Just sayin'...

Lodge a complaint with the manager. I bet you could get that programming changed pretty quickly.
