  1. This isn't even a matter of Republicans doing it to "Democrats". It's a matter of the right doing it to the left. As we saw in the 2016 primary, far right "Democrats" like Hillary are perfectly happy to pick up the same election fraud playbook as Republicans to stop real populist candidates from getting nominated. This shouldn't surprise anyone though, as right-wing politics is fundamentally about favoring consolidated, entrenched power (be it buisness, government, or otherwise), and the whole nomenclature of right\left wing originated from royalist vs those favoring representative government. In short, the right has been opposed to the democratic process from the very beginning and as soon as they get past being moderate right-wing, they start actively sabotaging it when they feel threatened.
