  1. If China did not warn us, USA, not to cross 17th parallel. Vietcong would have lost the war. Knowing how China would send pla to fight for North Vietnam if we did cross. We never send foot soldiers crossing the 17th. Plus China helped Vietcong with their industries. It was bad decision of ho chiminh to be the proxy of Soviet, and turned on China. Subsequently, lost both sea war and land war to China.
