  1. Very different scenarios Ukraine vs Taiwan. Taiwan is recognized as a province of China. And China is represented by the People’s Republic of China (~185 countries) and by Republic of China (remaining ~10 countries). Whereas, Ukraine is recognized as an independent country. We did not send troops to Ukraine. So I t’s pretty clear that no matter who said what, we’re not going to war against China over Taiwan. As a matter of fact, as Chinese military has grown stronger and is capable of defending more areas. I’d venture to say we’re not going to war against China within the first island chain outside of their doorstep.

  2. @mb; No I didn’t miss the chips industry. Everyone figures, by the time China is ready to reunify, chip industry will be a part of their industrial capitalism. Remember, parts of capitalism are from manufacturing to copying, stealing technologies. Like we did it to the Europeans and they did it to China way back when. And so capitalist empire went around and around and it looks like China is next.
