This pelosi visit has moved center line back 1000 miles and changed status quo big time.
A similar visit happened 20 same years ago, we sent two carriers to Taiwan straits and scared China off. This time, our carrier, Reagan, is scared of China’s live rounds military exercises and staying 1000 miles away, around the first island chain.
Just a few days ago, Russia announced her intentions to enter and assist China. As it is, China is ready to defend and even take on us within the first islands chain. Now with Russia and China, well, that’s going to be a new military headache we don’t want. And, I don’t think any of our president wants to be associated with starting the ww3.

A veteran (Korea,Vietnam,..Afghan) friend of mine told me once, we (USA) would never win in any of the actions outside of our turf. Because no one can defeat a “volunteer” military, and worse if it’s on their turf. It’s like a street fight, no matter how many times or how hard you hit the opponent. The fighting is going to be decided by whoever is dragged down to the last breath or whoever can last.
He said like in ww2, Japan was defeated mostly by China, because China had lasted so long to the point of depleting Japanese military of oil and materials for bullets and other equipments. After 8 years, the Chinese military started to gain momentum. Actually began to defeat Japanese with fewer personnel, equipments and bullets. And when nazi lost, everyone turned to the pacific theater. Japan knew what a disaster it would be for the empire, if Russians landed in Japan. So they gave up on the excuse of atomic bomb.

@kaym;
1) In chip making, there’s more up in their sleeves. Even though Japan controls the “water”, Russia controls noble gas and China controls all other rare earth menials.
2) Russia went with us in banning China 100% of space station technology and production.
Fast forward to date, China, alone, is now the only country capable of producing 100%, a complete space station. And in a few years, that “international space station” (USA, Russia, UK, France, Italy, Japan) will be a floating space trash, along with a few thousand others we left up there.
And every other country (Saudi, Iran,.. also Russia) will have astronauts visiting those China’s space station. We’ll be left here on earth.
They broke through every ban we and our “friends” placed on them, and bettered the industry. It makes one wonder why didn’t we just let them stay lazy and continue to buy from us in the first place?

@5:40; …”,,,poor attitude,,,”…
You’re tooooo nice.
This Pan guy is squeaky clean, no banned doping, or TUEs (Peaty, Phelps…). He beats the field, period. No, he kicked their arsses.
I saw a Sky News interview, and Adam Peaty, boldface lied, said, the 4X100 relay had “two contaminations” on the Chinese team. When he knew this Chinese team is clean.
And the Hawke coach showed his no class response (down/under class).
Furthermore, he exposed himself that he is well versed in training seconds, or losers.

I am not white American, but benefited from been taught English since young. So I experienced the importance and necessity of having just one national language. Even though Spanish is still prevalent in the USA, but we should all learn one and just one national language.
When I was in school, I saw Dr Sun Yatsen, in a film, talking about congressional voting and passed, mandarin as the one Chinese national language, 700 years in the making.
So I agree for public schools to teach mandarin as the only instruction language, definitely not Cantonese. Just like here, in USA, English first and foremost in public, Spanish at home.

Isn’t Tibet properly renamed “Xizang”?
Isn’t it manner to use the proper name Xizang? At least that’s what my parents taught me!
Or, I can just see, American are not called American, but by the old name like, “Navajo”, or “Cherokee”,,,.
Or australian are called “jaras”, warljiri,…
Or many examples of old names, right?

@MerraxusX,
I’ve got a store in downtown Los Angeles. One day after work, I happened upon a police blockade and stopped. Chatting with the police and I asked him; what’s going to happen if I walk around after dark and got in trouble. His answer “I wouldn’t even walk around in the dark, if there’s trouble, we just can not get there in time and most of times , not at all”.
While visiting Shanghai, in downtown, I noticed that there were people after dark all the time. A few times, even saw little girls, walking and chatting about.
I concluded, for venerable people or good guys, China secures 24 hour freedom. For us here in downtown Los Angeles, no such security after dark.
Another thing is that I had right to drink in public areas, even in the presence of police. Interesting,…

@chinkens and gardening,
4,000,000 military and 20,000,000 civilian death was the toll on China. Almost 100% was under the nationalist flag, mao was way out there in the northwest caves. Don’t think Japanese ever even sent a plane to bomb them. Or was there a “front”, because how insignificant they were territorially. They rested up, gathered up, prepped up, and once Japan gave up, Russia rounded up weapons and equipments for the communist. After eight years of war, nationalist was weary, as communist was restored and ready. It didn’t take long to chase nationalist to Taiwan.
That’s what my friends told me. I thought mao and chiang were shoulder to shoulder till they pointed out where mao was on a map. Well,…

@dylan c,
For your info, rare earth and noble gas, are two “must” ingredients in chips production. For taiwan chip production, one is supplied by China and the other by Russia. So far, even with all the taiwan bad mouthing, I’ve not seen animosity towards this taiwanese production line.
With taiwan dpp sanctioning Russia, Russia has declared taiwan “unfriendly”. Don’t know how that’s going to play out…
I remember months ago, Putin said China need not militarily to bring taiwan to her knees. Maybe, just maybe, stopping rare earth and noble gas supplies to taiwan microchip industries is enough.
Continuing ⋯⋯

Systematically, democratically elected official has changed (even an 180) their previous agreements EASILY, and India, much more so.
Plus corruptions runs rampant in India, meaning, no telling where, when or how the niceness turns 180.
So, for Chinese “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me”.

@chinkens and gardening,
Forgot to include; us gave nationalist old ww1 equipments (as with Ukraine) which was no match to Japanese’ up to date weapons (zeros and such). I was told after the first year of fighting, China had no airplanes left. And no tanks, no mechanized equipments,… mostly rifles against machine guns, yet they still managed to continue, out lasted and dragged down Japan at the same time.
China was like Europe, many different dialects, to the point of not understanding each other at all. Military? More like a hodgepodge of men, and worse, many neighbors held grudges, historically based. It wasn’t until well into the war and finally, an army.

@defective; arguably, 89 incident was “minor”, when figured in Nancy Pelosi and company showed up afterwards with signs supporting “democracy”, but was stopped by police. Just a regular police, not even a cpc capital official.
Anyway China’s ruling party had always had different pulls, pro-Russia vs pro-USA vs pro-France vs pro-Japan vs pro whoever and whatever,… All of these pros are powerful minorities and no one can analytically say who aligned with who at any given moment. So, forget those outsiders’ analyses.
One thing for sure with Xi government, their slogan is “pro-Chinese people” that, plus wasp’s media’s continuing attacks on China have turned all of the pro-others silent and now wasps say this is “authoritarian”!…
China will continue to evolving internally,….

@Jack Wilmore;
I have seen many many many predictions of China falling. And so far, China is still steaming ahead of everybody.
It’d be interesting if you turn out to be right on in 3-7 years.
But I disagree with you on the battle of the East China Sea part.
I think you’re warring is exactly like what McCarthy’s mentality back in Korea. Back then, we just won ww2, and we were the greatest military (nuclear option) force on earth. But they weren’t scared and still went in,100%.
In the 60’s India attacked past McMahon line in the south Tibet, with aids from both Russia and USA. Mao decided to defend China’s borderline against India’s incursions. With a weaker army, they beat Indian’s in a week, no air support.
The same against Russia at northern border.
Against Russian aided Vietnam, two ships beating Viet’s 4.
I counted two factors in any battle, guts and geostrategy.
I gave you examples of their guts to fight earlier.
Now, geography, if war happens in the middle of Pacific Ocean. No question, we’d beat them.
But a battle right on their front doorstep, East China Sea, 6000 miles away for us, I don’t think so.

China, as a “country with legal borderline” did not happen until 1911. Whatever prior maps you mentioned were not clearly listed as “constitutional borderline”. Only you think it’s significant and use it.
Again, China joined UN 1945 and its constitution was ratified in 1948 with what japan left of Ching origin.
Do you think Japanese didn’t know what they were talking about, when they turned over “spratley” and “paracel” islands???
China resurveyed its South China Sea islands. They call “west sand isles”, “south sand isles”,,,, up to the 11th dashline as its borderline.
And renamed all the isles.
When they signed on the UNCLOS, after 12 years of negotiations. Was ratified 9th dashline by all members. That’s 12 years of pointing at legal maps and negotiating.
Do you think the South China Sea neighborhood fooled, not clearly known what China’s 9th dashline???

The last fighting, June 2020, we all went with Indian one sidedness and then when it’s all finished.
China went on published “facts” with eagle eye view videos and all.
Oh boy, pictures clearly showed your soldiers (over 40) crossed the border river just to attack 4 Chinese soldiers.
When their helps arrived, your soldiers were scattered and ran back to your side of river. In the end, four soldiers were honored in their national funeral.
It was counted that your side had more than 20 drowned or frozen to death. 30+ captured, well treated and released. One didn’t even want to go back to India, saying starvation and such.
It was all in the vlogs, no disputing pictures shown truth.
So this time, since Chinese side will not release their videos till later. Your one-sidedness doesn’t count as facts.
I just took on Russian takes. That 1) China has 600 soldiers stationed and India has more than 1000 soldiers stationed nearby.
2) Not stating who started at all.
3) It ended up being a massive fightings with both sides upper ranking officers shooting warning shots to stop this massive massive soldiers fights.
4) Modi trying to down play this time. Except we, USA, want to see you fighting with China (good for us). I also see Indian like you cannot help Modi to downplay this. And I like that, it seems that we found a card to play and a spear thru your China neighboring relationship. And I don’t mind telling you this fact, because with our Wion’s reporting, you can’t help yourself but to be on the opposite side of China.
Again, I am not taking your one-sidedness as “fact”, only real facts as facts.
But at the same time, what I don’t see is your neighbors are relaxed about being your neighbor. Since your taken Sikkim and Kashmir fighting, your neighbors went from 8 down to 7 and they’re nervous.
Whereas China’s neighbors, I see kids getting on swing going to one side, one country, another, another country, all smiling.
Russian swimming over to China shores, having bbq with Chinese and swim back to the Russian home.
China supply school books and supplies to cross border school kids. And at the border town shopping, even using Chinese money.
At high mountain crossing, Pakistani and Chinese soldiers dancing and sharing meals.
There are others, too many.
And none on Indian borders???
How do you feel about this playing on China side? And maybe next time I will play on your side?

Newcalidoniabrassembal;
You need to study democratic society, democratic countries and such, to know what I’m saying. It’s too much to explain.
Simply, we, USA, did not allow general election until about 180 years after we first started, as a comparable.
In the beginning, China had just congressional election on national policy. Dr Sun Yatsen voted for mandarin as well.
Also one husband one wife was voted in too.
But hard time followed and no money to nationalize the voted policies, and war stopped lots of actions.
Finally, PRC came to power and adapted many of the same practices from the constitution.
To date, PRC’s democracy is more like Socrates’ democracy with no general election. And finally 1960’s they started to enforce one husband one wife in canton. And pushed to British Hongkong, probably right around that time.
That’s how long just that one policy took, to be in effect.
And PRC has finally got maybe 90% Chinese speaking mandarin, without killing anyone (we did in pushing English). It took China almost a hundred years.

@burning ashes;
There, you said it again about the limited time and you are not with bbc. It means this limited time knowledge, from you, is a lie.
And by the way, anyone can see it’s only a few seconds longer with cut n paste, not going to kill it. And it adds to this story for y’all fantasists.
And so, I never stated to you that I don’t have problem with the not showing. Learn some English comprehension and you’d see I merely asked about the footage.
And it’s refreshing to hear your upfront about this “independence”.
And I do have problems with this whole thing. My taiwanese friends and I were there watching the protests back when. And he tried to talk to the protesters in mandarin and got hit. This violence towards innocent bystander, merely speaking perfect mandarin, sighted us on the purity of the protests.
What’s the point of these protests?
The Hongkong management’s intention was to put criminal to trial. And the protesters said nothing about putting the criminal to taiwan. The dynamic of this action, reaction has pushed aside a criminal case! So this date, the criminal is what⋯⋯??? No hongkongese even talks about the criminal anymore. Ridiculous.
To the wasper politicians, we, USA, wanted taiwan, hongkong, xinjiang to be flashing point fronts and irk China. And at the same time cash out as much as possible. And we will ukrainize these localities when push comes shove.
And you lackeys are long trained and well brainwashed by our western medias, google, Facebook, twitters,… even Hollywood. When people like me stating, honestly, that you’re being foolish. You don’t want to hear and definitely not registering.
I know about Union Jack and I was thinking that England will be liberated with Scotland independence and Ireland following. So I was lackluster about the terminology and it was intently unintentional.
But you want to point out the details. Fine, let’s do details. My Chinese friends laughed at the title wording “freedom”, so does that mean people in China having no freedom???
If you ever been to London, you’d know they have locality curfews, plus there are some areas no one goes after dark. You don’t have 24 hour freedom as in China.
Therefore, seeing all the hoorays from the responses make me chuckle at the lackeys mindlessly following the title “freedom”.
Question, the protesters setting fire an old man, is that on YouTube too???
1
-
@AMT webview;
I just saw your comment on “civil elected”. So you agree with shooting a perp if it’s our legislature and our flag. Well good. We’d like that too.
But, it’s too obvious that you have no sense of right vs wrong.
Also, Xi got as high as 96% approval rating vs at least 80% rating on remaining Chinese presidents. Are you mad, talking about overthrowing???
Additionally, Harvard poll results that Chinese communist government is the most approved by world populace at over 70%. Higher then our USA at less than 60%.
Now this, we can shoot a criminal on our front lawn. That’s in our constitution. Applying it meant that we would have shot that hongkongese intruder into our embassy gate in Manchester.
Our legislative guards see tearing down our flag, replacing with foreign flag would consider it an act of a traitor. Shooting the perp on the spot is applauded by us, Americans and we’d love that shooting.
But constitutionally, a traitor had to be decided by law, not a split second decision by a guard.
You’re way off the point here.
And all of my hongkongese friends agree that this whole protest is off the point too. Nobody even knows what happened to the girl friend murderer.
All of them also agree that this flag replacing thing would have sun yatsen turned over in his grave.
And compare to the may 4th movement, this Hongkong independence is not even favored in hongkongese polling at the height of these protests.
Side note; In this first legislative vote, Dr Sun Yatsen voted for mandarin to be spoken throughout China and Hongkongers to be Chinese.

The culture revolution did away a lot of old values. That’s the point, the old Chinese ways weren’t going to take China into the 21st century.
That revolution wiped the culture-slate clean, and restarted the way from old, old tethered China dragging ways to untethered, wide open world.
As far as coping, stealing technology, that’s the American capitalism ways. We stole technology from Europe when we started industrialization. Shoot, back then, the English customs had to body search Ford personnel before letting them back to USA. We used our memories to steal tech info and bit by bit back to USA.
To this day, Toyota still gets a ford off the assembly line and take it apart, and see. The same, as our ev guy gets a BYD, take it apart and see.
The old English ways to “steal” technology from China, was as the queen said; silk worm farming and tea tree planting were “shared” over…
And the culture revolution opened up a world to the Chinese just like what we did when we got rid of the “queen’s” way.

@jeckjeck;
Time bomb is time bomb, period.
Example, Look at what took place back in 2008, we sold our real estate backed security to the world and turned out our data was corrupted, the system lied. The whole system went and affected banking, then onto economy and then passing onto the world, the world. And Obama asked China to help in which they led the way to save us and the world.
And right now our mortgage backed security is crazily out of bounds (this time we can TRUST our data, like trusting China’s date). And we’ve already had a few of our banks went bankrupt. It’s a time bomb again imbedded with our national debts.
First Blinken went to China for help, and hopefully Yellen can go to actually get them to help to buy our debts and help to get us out of this 130% debt ratios, way way over our revenues.
Do you really think if China’s real estate goes implode and we’re NOT affected?
Get real, we’re all connected whichever system is used.

Yeah, China is scared of india and that’s why anything India wants to buy, cash first.
Wait, so scared also includes; Tesla, Apple, Air Bus, Ford, GM, FoxConn, XiaoMi,…..
Japan is not scared, so f_cked india with building high-speed rail, 10 km in 5 years.

Here is my take on the mandate (not GOP);
1) MAHA is 100% Kennedy, checking on big food, big chem, and big pharma.
2) Trump/TikTok, plus Musk’s X, leading non-legacy medias to foster and undone lopsided truth reporting big media, like cnn, fox,…
3) Trump’s model, no money no honey no war, totally checking on military industries, pissing on Liz Cheney and dems.
Using everyone of his nominees as chess pieces to accomplish the no money then nothing, this applies to illegals and as well the criminals, both are taking up too much of our tax dollars.
4) Plus Elon’s DOGE, possibly an anti-fat cat/corruption sledge hammer.
Here in downtown Los Angeles, I am seeing tooooo many illegal squatter businesses taking up sidewalks, to the point, even legal tacos trucks are pissed off. Yet, the city protects them illegals squatter businesses. Why??? Who’s getting paid???

@tavishmac,
I see your reply, but not in the thread. Maybe you’re shadow banned.
Friends survey? I may have a wider variety of Taiwanese friends who talked about this survey.
One thing they all agree, I mean all, that is mainland will finish this civil war that Taiwan started. And mainland will finish it (all agree) peacefully or not.
And as a bystander, logically and realistically, once it happens, in ten, twenty year time. It’s water under the bridge, like hongkongers in ten years. To me it’s better done peacefully with the world’s help. Commotions going the other way, all agrees somebody’s offsprings will meet with unfortunate ends. And that’s what I’m talking about.

@taiwanisaprovince,
I refuse to be veered off, and worse, by political reactions. Your starting with “⋯⋯xi⋯⋯” is very much political charged. And I don’t want to be kidnapped off internet exchanges on facts.
Now that we’ve had a few exchanges and you seem like a good person. Therefore, this time, this one time, I am pointing out the flaw in your argument.
Singapore, it manages every where Singapore. Kinmen, Mazu, both are in Fujian province. Taiping is a part of Hainan province. These two provinces are partially managed, or jointly managed (depending on your politics). That’s the difference.
1
-
1
-
Well, well, well, finally, now you’re talking facts.
Just a side note, in English, a state by definition is not independent as a province. And by Chinese standard, English translation, is just not equivalent. Gappings, gappings, gappings…
To be non-political, and for scholar discussion, people would use ⋯⋯independent entity⋯⋯, rather than ⋯⋯independent state ⋯⋯
Anyway thanks for the time. Stay well.

Talked to Shanghai friends, and here’s what they said. Zero Covid stemmed out of an very important cultural norm. Elders are to pass on naturally on a warm home bed. This virus kills mostly elders and that’s not okay. Sure, Shanghai government’s made mistakes. Sure, expatriates talking about leaving (bfd), sure, this, sure, that…
Once this is over, China will still have less deaths, and more equipped to deal with new coronavirus mutations.
They’re complaining like crazy, at the same time, they understand the lock-down (not necessarily agreeing).

@Martin Fiedler;
I see you talking about legal territory managed by Taiwan government.
Then you do know kinmen and matsu of fujian province, and taiping island of hainan province are still managed by taiwanese government. And so the civil war continues,,,.
Question, there’s not a China civil war finale yet, correct?
Also, you do know about Diaoyu island, a part of Taiwan, being step by step annexed by japan. Just as what Japan did to the homeland of Ainu people, to Hokkaido.

@tonyl;
International rule of law clearly states it takes de facto and de jure to be a “country”. So far, the name “Taiwan” is without de jure title. So taiwan may run itself for a hundred years, but, by de jure law, its status is a province of China. Simply put, management is NOT ownership, that’s whether anyone likes it or not. And anyone can call it anything they want, but it’s just phoniness.
Plus since we recognized China being represented by PRC, in about 1970, to nowadays, it’s been ~50 years. In the 50+ years, taiwanese independence had been elected multiple times and in charge for ~30 years, and even with majority in legislature, still no movement of legally changing Taiwan status from a province to a country. Even nowadays on the passport, clearly it’s taiwan under RoC, the past China.
Plus my taiwanese friends all said “status quo” and we know Taiwan is a province is the status. So I am convinced that these “Taiwanese as a country” movement is phony, nothing but phoniness.

For your consideration; “yellow peril” is referring the Orientals of Asians, from earlier name-calling. Current term of Asians covers, not just “yellow” (East Asians), West Asians (Persians and such), north Asians (Slavics…), and south Asians (Pakistani, Indian,,,).

@gogreen; I’ll repeat the same, this time.
1) It’s UN rules that every legitimate country files a mapped legal borderline.
2) Within official deadline, every country can file an official challenge to dispute the borderline.
3) China filed the 9th dashline borderline in 1952, without any challenges. And it’s been their borderline for 70+ years.
4) UNCLOS is a different issue. It’s an ocean affairs, EEZ issue from borderline outward.
5) The overlapping EEZ is being resolved with the contracts of Codes of Conducts in the South China Sea neighborhood.
Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei and China, all signed. And Philippines is the final signature, the holdout of peacefulness in the SCS.
Respect facts on this platform, stop lying.
They just filed the 10th dashline, only adding water to the east of Taiwan.

@John Taylor,
Your question is “•••attack•••”; as recently as last Sunday, I watched cnn’s Fareed talking with Shanghai correspondent about the recent lock-down. They presented how “China” is failing. And on Monday, I happened upon Asian society’s on the ground interview. That tagging brought on a Nathan vlog. Those two together gave me an pretty complete picture of the lock-down. This is a totally different picture than what fareed’s trying to paint (China failing).
Also, Shanghai is one city and yet they used “China”….
There, I just answered.
I refuse to be veered over by your attachment “•••human rights •••”. On that subject, I’ve not paid enough attention to having a feeling. This much I can say; as an American and with her records, I really need to think twice, thrice,,, before I talk.

China’s internal financial headaches, local banks no cash and none payments to RE loans, are nothing compared to EU’s.
According to Wion reporting, China has had many troubles. She has survived hits after hits, still it’s considered in a positive growth mode. They’ll not affect the world.
We all know our US 2008 real estate problems, packaged into funds and sold to the world. We affected the world and China helped us in resolving the problem.
Right now, EU has a Italian financial problem that’s potentially problematic for the world. Actually, it’s Italy, Spain and Greece. Don’t know if Europe can take it and will it affect the world?
Every government has headaches and so long as it does not affect us. I don’t care if China has problems internally, so long as she has positive growth rate, it won’t affect us.

Your response proves my point,
There are lots of teaser titles on YouTube. They just want the viewership for money.
I did not see Tony this way in the beginning, are you saying this is what Tony’s resorted to nowadays? EG, the newest title, “it’s over”, really?
2) Continuously having these experiences of incongruity between what’s he presented and what China is doing along the way. It appears, to me, China is doing just fine. EG, China’s housing problems didn’t drag down China’s overall economy, and seemed pretty much to be resolved in time, just like our housing crisis back in the 70’s.
If what we’re experiencing in housing nowdays is as bad as it was back then. I wonder how we’re going to resolve the current problem.
And if you don’t feel our current housing as crisis, then you can imagine what an average Chinese felt like. If you can to transform yourself to China a few years ago when their housing problem was first exposed.

@codeman;
Yeah, you sound like a grade school teacher lecturing a class of ten year olds.
Again, the reality is,,,,
Like the two front wars, Gaza and Ukraine. Both involved countries reneged their promises.
We all heard taped Philippine promise to remove the boat. And Marcos reneged that promise.
And unlike his father who agreed the 11th dashline. Marcos walked back on his predecessors’ negotiations to a peaceful resolution of the SCS Codes of Conduct.
And there’s more, so many more real events to say it takes muscles to get things done legitimately on this planet.
Plus illegitimately, like my country’s occupying other countries and extraction of their resources, eg, Syria… yeah just my country along, there’s plenty of examples, plus other western countries…
And those backed by us… like Japanese occupation of Diaoyu islands and built-up of islands east of Taiwan (you like maps, those weren’t on their maps until after the fact).
India’s take over of Sikkim and still insisting on its masters’ borderline, taking over water rights of Bhutan and uncleared with Bangladeshi…
So many more…
So no, if I were China, I would not be so nice to the neighbors.
1)Considering EEZ and reducing to the 9th dashline.
2) South China Sea Codes of Conduct to resolve all the historical problems and the overlapping EEZ issue.
3)Instead of just sending navy and clearing out that island. Still wouldn’t break her word and waiting patiently, 24 years +….
4)And timing is on their side and getting more so. So much so that your “allied” military forces are facing less and less legitimacy in the SCS; considering there’s ~5 trillions worth of non-military ships freely navigating throughout the greater SCS area.
And That’s the reality.
1
-
1
-
@codeman;
How did we start this conversation?
UN1945-1948, UNCLOS1984-1996
Right???
SCS neighborhood was all peacefully ready to ratify their Codes of Conduct.
And SCS would continue to be the most freely navigated water in the world. That’s with ~3 trillions worth of non-military boats passing through. If Obama government had not decidedly to be aggressive on this part of the planet.
Even then, when tuterte got the bill for the useless 2016 ruling. He was so pissed and felt used by us. He wouldn’t even come here when invited. And even then with tuterte, you and I wouldn’t be here.
Once the mole, Marcos, is created. All hell broke loose in the region.
I 100% disagree with my government and their creation of and controlling moles like Marcos.
My government has pushed more countries into wars than I cared to count.
Here, I see China had submitted and been recognized the 11th dashline borderline 1948. And after 12 years of UNCLOS negotiations, willingly, allowing the EEZ to the 9th dashline. Very nice!
And worked with the SCS neighbors and achieved the codes of conducts. And the Philippines is the aggressor holding out the final peace contracts in the area. The emphasis is that’s a PEACE contract in the neighborhood.
Which makes the sole holdout, Philippines, the aggressive mole AGAINST PEACE in the neighborhood.
And once all this is passed. Marcos is going to enjoy his billions in Hawaii, along with his generals admiring mommy’s pumps.

@8:30; “battery, the most important reason for buying”.
Tesla battery to be expected to last 10 years. As a Tesla owner, in about 8 year time, I would buy and change a new battery. And in another 8 year, another new battery, and so on…
Let’s say a 3 costs about 40,000 right now and new battery costs $15,000. But in 8 years, a new battery would probably cost $5,000. So I can have the same Tesla 3 for 16 years, at a combined cost of $45,000. Right?
And by then, a new battery will probably cost $1,000? So I can own the same 3 for 24 years at a combined (40,000+5,000+1,000) cost of $46,000. Right?
Plus, new battery range will be longer than the current 350. Right?
That’s how I see it.

If you understand English then you’d know that she didn’t answer many pertinent questions. Whatever’s the difference between the two???
Only she’s been in the office for 4 years and let go toooooo many illegals to erode our tax based budget. Way way way too much for this tax paying, law abiding citizen to bear.
It’s like the first time I see an orange selling illegal off any freeway, I’d buy it. And then I see additional taco, churros,,,, trucks.
Just too many squatter non-tax paying, cash businesses, too much just too much.
Nowadays, I’m NOT even willing to spare one penny of my tax based budget for them.
F… democrats, to loosen border controls.

Nowadays, there’s no escape from data linkage. One knows one thing, instantly, it’s in the other data file. Ukada got the same info as we did here, usada, and everyone else.
In two years time, since first reported from chinada, no one says anything. In my American understanding, it means we agreed that incident was nothing.
What? You English can just decide to speak up and it’s a legit questioning???
Take a look around, the whole world is watching influencer like you and big mouth like peaty, making a mockery of your English uprightness.

@homerojsimpson;
1) Rules of law, legally, only two constitution claims taiwan, past and present China. So realistically, no one else but China can claim taiwan and the world (95%) agrees.
2) Taiwanese wants status quo, another words, they’re fine as a province of China legally. No taiwanese in the last 70+ years even started to legally separate themselves from China.
3) If taiwan is blocked, they’d be out of energy in a week and “on oxygen” in two weeks. Two must ingredients in chips industries, noble gas is controlled by Russia and rare earth is largely from China. Taiwanese chip industries would be in trouble.
3) US and Japan would be scared off with Russia behind and ready and willing for action.
Personally, I don’t think China wants to win this “civil war” militarily. But when it comes to what’s legally yours, I just wouldn’t take a militant finality off the table.
1
-
1
-
@homerojsimpson;
Again, 95% of world agrees with the constitution that claims taiwan to be a province of China. And that’s the reality. As for the details of incongruity of ruling, perhaps you can suggest China. Oh n suggest to our federal about incongruous states as well. Actually, if you come up with a solution, you can sell it all over the world and making some banks.
We fought for our independence and Irish fought for theirs. Who gives Taiwan a pass? Did you? In 70+ years, why couldn’t taiwan announce independence and fight for it? It’s because we DON’T want it. We even stopped taiwanese attempt to take back mainland in the 60’s. We wanted this, behind enemy line incongruous politics stuff, we do this all over the world. And historically when timing of finality nears, we ditch and run. And now, China can fully defend and take on us in the first pacific blockade chain. Our carrier, Reagan, stayed 1000 miles away during this pelosi visit.
This pelosi visit prompted Russia to announce her intention to enter and assist China. Everyone in the world knows, China has never taken a possible of military finish to this civil war off the table. And no Chinese leaders want to be associated with letting Taiwan off. Do you think any of our leaders want to be associated with the start of ww3, against China and Russia???

@homerojsimpson;
1) We, in the USA, grew up with “manners maketh man” and the proper manner addressing someone is by what they call themselves. For example, it’s wrong when your “…oj…” is been called “…jo…”. So after years of calling them ccp and then in the last a couple of years, I noticed that they call themselves cpc. And after struggling a couple of years, I’ve decided to man up and call them, with proper manners, CPC. If you are an American and grew up with manners, are you man enough to call them properly?
2) So you do know about the constitution of past China. Well only about 10+ countries of the 200+ recognize that Republic of China is still a country. Funny thing, under xi, I’ve heard movies of ROC flag is shown in movies. And he actually met ma, past president roc and kmt. My Taiwanese friends said maybe xi thinks, in his head, that roc is still here. Who knows.
3) If you must take statistics, it looks like about ~160 out of 200+ Countries support Taiwan is a province of prc. The remaining 40+, following our lead, supports taiwan as an independent entity, not a country or nation. Not officially, just individual politicians making noise.
As far as I’m concerned, it’s simple; I have lots of Asian friends and the Taiwanese ones, green or blue, don’t want to see their kids or grandkids blood spilled, in the case of military finality of this civil war. So I switched over and arguing against those shilling for independence and a real possibility of military finishing of this civil war. They weren’t there when this civil war started and now they have to face the unavoidable and inevitable finale? Yeah, I want to see reunification without blood.

@homerojsimpson/beetle;
1) So you’ve learned the difference between “taiwan constitution” vs ROC constitution running taiwan. Now you can stop talking stupid about “taiwan constitution”, or “taiwan does not have a constitution”, all the bull craps.
Is it a nightmare to you that only 10+ countries support this constitution, while ~190 countries recognize PRC and support her constitution? If you have a hard time learning this, what did you get on SAT English?
2) Still more bs out of your mouth, from 1912 to 1972, ROC has claimed 12th line of scs, officially pushing the Chinese border all the way to coast line of Philippine, Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia and Vietnam. And started to build up the sandy islands. And officially, about those sandy and rocky islands all involved recognized roc’s claims and said nothing.
3) From 1972 onward, taiwan handed over all the scs territory to PRC and China continued to build on those islands. By then there were an unspoken standards that all involved following. Some gun boat fights, but got no attention like nowadays, like your news by line of Indonesia fishing storyline. This bit of historical fact destroyed all the bs you’re rolling around, huh. Learn some facts in your mother tongues. And learn better English too.
4) After last night’s exposure of all your uneducated English and ill-informed crap. First news this morning, I hear that the SCS standards will be officially signed by all involved sometime next year. And again, China is going to assist everyone in making some money in the region. Peace in the region is torture to you, lol.
5) Meanwhile, why don’t you write about why’d Japan become the only country in the world who’s disliked by 100% of its neighbors.
Yea, Japan has four neighbors, Russia, China and the two Korea. Disliking Japan is the only issue both Korea agree on, add Russia and China, make 100% of its neighbors dislike Japan. Not even Israel can achieve this feat.

1) Fact is, only 10+ countries of about 200 on this planet agrees that ROC, is still a country. So about 95% of the would supports PRC is China. And that means 95% supports that Taiwan is a part of PRC.
That’s an old old news by now, you really need to learn how to read, even in your mother tongue. On this public platform, you’ve exposed multiple times just on that point along already. Just remember the saying, stupid is what stupid does.
2) Using the same idea (95% supports Taiwan is a part of PRC), and apply it to Russia’s Ukraine situation. Do you know enough English to understand how this application works?
3) The same application here, ROC constitution claims all past China territory which including Mongolia, 12th line of SCS, Diaoyu islands and some other coral islands being gerrymandered by Japan.
And again only 10+ countries supports this claim. Japan is in your face taking over more than one area of taiwan economic fishing zones. And homerojsimpson is too chicken to even mention it here. Here I just exposed another part of you.
4) As of now, I’ve shown on this platform that you’re bad at English; continue to lie about “taiwan constitution” is ROC constitution; cannot add (roc currently ruling over 2 partial plus Taiwan makes 3 provinces); your head is in the sands and blinded to facts around, ill-informed and knowing nothing SCS behavioral standards; lie about knowing Russia constitutional territory, and too chicken to mention Japan sneaking in on Taiwan territory (Japan has been building islands off the coast of taiwan for decades). I wander what else are you going to expose yourself.
Here’s another fruit for thought, as of about 20 years ago, Philippine decided and informed google renaming a part Pacific Ocean to Philippine sea. And goggle did it, don’t know if any interest is behind it or not, as of yet.

Good to see you, one more opportunity to restate a fact. Taiwan is a province of ROC is recognized by 10+ countries in the world. Meanwhile, the rest of the world (~95%) agrees that Taiwan is a province of PRC.
Are you a denialist to this fact?
Are you trolling me on this point?
When 95% agrees what’s legally yours, wouldn’t you take it peacefully, until you are forced to take it militarily?
Are you shilling for bloody offspring death finale of the Chinese civil war?
Pelosi visit moved the line and changed status quo big time.
1) Last similar high profile visit, China used the opportunity to stage a possible militant taiwan take over, similar as this time. That was 20 some years ago, we scared them off with two carriers entering taiwan straits. This time our carrier, Reagan, stayed 1000 miles away, scared of China’s live round military exercises. Taiwan straits, as a line of defense is moved 1000 miles away to first islands chain.
2) Looks like it’s going to be a new norm that we’ll have more high profile visits. And these visits are for us to empty out Taiwan’s cash pocket. You know, pushing junk weaponry for higher prices, taking away their money making industries (chips), whatever cash is there for USA to grab. Because it looks like China is ready to finish this civil war and USA is going to grab whatever cash we can, and quickly.
I heard taiwan was scared that pelosi was really going and took back the invitation. But taiwan is a bitch of ours, so when pelosi was been serious. Taiwan had zero choice, but to accept. Plus there’s an election in November, we can get some votes, irking China. Whatever is going to happen to Taiwanese, well, they are mostly Han people anyway.
That looks like the new status quo, don’t you feel the heat? You should thank usa for moving taiwan closer to reunification.

I think it’s unavoidable that we’re all gaslighted by all sides all the time. Each governments make sure to put their approach in the favorable light. And on our side, we have those major gaslighting machines, like google, Facebook, twitters, Hollywood, n so on. We’re way ahead of China in gaslighting the world population, with English being dominating favorite language.
So yea, gaslighted, of course!
The Harvard polling I was quoting, was from the world populace survey, not just Chinese.
As far as within China polling for self comparison, the approval rating was on Xi. And the latest was 96%. 83% was last year, by pew? Gallop? That’s not important here.
I was putting two governing approaches on a side by side comparison. That the world populace (not just white populace) rated their system higher than ours.
And I think these polling companies are knowledgeable and experienced in they’re doing. And their results are creditable, and they specify on how to read it and use it. So within the parameters, the results are good.
