Celebrity worship needs to end!

@jessicamorrison2689 they were working in a restaurant nearby

This is just crazy. The way people worship these celebrities and do everything they do and everything they say is insane to me. They’re just people. Stop giving them so much control over your life and stop thinking that just cause they were lucky enough to get famous that that means that they are superior.

She was 100% responsible for all of her actions. She is the most selfish person I’ve heard of in a while and exposed her daughter to terrible dangers taking her to a house owned by her “client”.

There were females in the room on this case… they did not care… clearly being a woman doesnt give you morals.

@marythewinter y’all literally assumed his nationality. Literally pathetic how y’all bring up Americans out of nowhere.

@estopesto2647 society needs to start taking responsibility for their dangerous behavior.

It’s so easy to trick college students. They’re so keen on sounding like they already know everything that when you just talk a little about something they don’t know and kinda sound like you know what you’re talking about they also pretend to know what you’re talking about. Young adults are easily manipulated because they are really just grown children that think they know everything. You tell them they’re special, they’re not like all those other little people with their little beliefs, they’re unique and will change the world. Say: “This is about the universe, about something bigger than ourselves!” And they chew it up. They don’t understand how passionately they react to everything and how little self control they have. Their perspective is too small to realize that someone that much older just has so much power over them. But then everyone says “oh they were over 18 so they should have known better!” Well… clearly not. Maybe we should stop acting like we know everything at 18 and understand that our brains don’t develop until at least 25 and start treating young people like maybe they still deserve some leniency and protection.

Same. But I feel like it’s people’s own vanity reflected on their willingness to do anything for fame. Like they were so obsessed with the idea of being rich and famous influencers that they would join prostitution for it? They would become someone’s slave for it? At what point do you say: “money and fame are not worth all of this”? People need to stop worshipping fame and money and stop putting people in such positions of power and influence.

@maxmariee people have to learn to take responsibility

@usernamelame7814 that’s not how child porn works… you get about 10 years per picture. Especially if they could prove that he sold them… which is not hard to prove. We are not arguing the value of his life we are arguing the value of hers and it was and it wasn’t worth her losing her life over it… And if you think that then you don’t understand how much time she’s actually gonna spend in jail and how long each day is gonna feel.

So male victims don’t matter? lol sexism isn’t justified no matter how much you seek to confirm your own bias.
1
@joella3327 you literally said that only when it involves women and children do you care lol so if it’s an adult male you don’t care.
1
@joella3327 the Word only isn’t the only word that can imply exclusivity within a few categories. You said when it’s women and children. Why try to backtrack now?
1
@joella3327 If you truly didn’t mean it like that, I’m sorry for assuming. I was just shocked at this comment section and how it seemed like everyone twisted the lesson of this case to be “you can’t trust male doctors”. When to me the real lesson was “don’t fully trust healthcare professionals in general”. If you’re going to an appointment with a doctor for the first time, bring someone. Anyone. Uncle, grandma, best friend, husband, etc. at least that first time have that security and always make sure there’s a nurse in the room with the doctor as well at all times! There were so many people in this case in the field that just turned a blind eye, it is sickening.

I completely agree about the effects abuse can have on people but a genuine question here… would shoe abusive parents be ok with their daughter taking control of their lives like this? Lie over and over to them and then forgiving her? Emotional distance is harmful to the child and I’m not saying they were perfect but it just doesn’t seem like they were malicious.
