@mrscruffles801 ayyy don’t speak that much truth. You’ll make them cry. They have never been able to take a joke. But we’re always supposed to like when a girl will be like “haha you look bloated!” To her man And they’ll both have a laugh but then if the guy says it back she’ll cry and say “you called be fat😢” we take the jokes just fine and I’m not insulted by this dumb movie that I wasn’t gonna see anyway but it’s still fun to call them out on their hypocrisy

What i love are the people that hear lotr fans complain that rings of power isn’t accurate and is overall a band show and they’ll defend it by sayin it looks beautiful and it is not amazing but it’s ok… a Lord of the Rings story… is ok… we didn’t want it to be ok. It was special to us. We wanted it to honor the creator of the world itself while adding something new to said world but it’s just a super high budget cash grab trying to capitalize on the fact that the lotr franchise hadn’t done anything for a while. You can tell us “go cry nerds” all you want but being so forgiving with such high budget products will not give us shittier movies in the long run and make studios feel like they don’t have to try cause the audience will be ok with the bare minimum. They had a billion dollars… they could have made something fantastic.

I think what James Cameron does really really well is push the boundaries of what is technically achievable. He does not wanna do things the possible way, he wants to achieve what it’s thought to be impossible. I think he really enjoys more so the innovation of the technical side of cinema but clearly lacks the innate ability to tell a complex story. His characters literally say their whole personality writhing their first few lines and then follow that train of thought the rest of the time with little development. The characters show up and say “Oh I’m the bad guy” and then proceeds to do bad things. The protagonist says “I’m the main character” and proceeds to do everything you’d expect from a “good guy”. They threw in an environmental message cause who could disagree with that? Am I right? It’s basically meant to appeal to as many people as possible while showing off all the pretty colors. I also just rewatched it (couldn’t finish it lol) but the thing still looks amazing it has not aged a minute but it didn’t capture a core fan base because it wasn’t able to create an emotional bond with the audience.

They always do this lol they have a perfectly good script in the game but they have to try and commercialize it to potentially draw in a wider audience. Instead of trying to please people who may or may not go see it they should do as much as possible to please the core fan base since they’re the ones that are gonna make them their money cause if it’s good people go see it several times. Also they had a good cast hired they just gave them the wrong roles. Why not have Mark Wahlberg be Nathan Drake and then have Antonio Banderas as Sully? That would have been much more age appropriate cause Tom Holland isn’t getting out of his teens any time soon.

Ok so the movie is not good but I feel like people completely forgot just how much the originals focus on Trinity and Neos love. This trilogy overall is really cheesy so being cheesy isn’t really the problem here. It’s just boring. If they had only made it more entertaining it would have worked.
