That's what set off my alarm bells. You can even remove the woman part and I'd feel the same. I'm a woman and found it grating. Being a skincare company makes it worse. Where's the chemist that created the formula? How did a bunch of 20 year olds clearly fresh out of college get the money for any of this?

That wouldn't even be job applications. One of them, the boss, would be at least part owner. Unless an investor just put her there as a figurehead. Any small new company, the boss is usually the one that created the company.

Women have always worked in the US. The first female lawyer was in the late 1800s. You find female scientists too throughout the last 100+ years. My mother worked with computers since they were giant and used punch cards. It changed because this idea that standards were intentionally high to block women. That first started with the idea they were that high to prevent entry for certain races and women piggybacked off it. To prevent the accusations, standards were quietly lowered especially after affirmative action after the Civil Rights Act. Then since Obama, there's been government incentives for hiring minorities, including women even though they're 51% of the population so not a minority. It was even implemented in investment which lead to all female run businesses which wouldn't be allowed for men. It's the double standards that have become intolerable. People clearly unworthy of their positions has been a thing forever. Usually due to nepotism. It's just become much more widespread and for a completely different reason that sets people on edge. Edit: Women en mass worked factories during WWII so that already occurred. Women were the majority workers at a chicken processing plant in my hometown. They've been in the factories, they've just recently been pushed into higher positions artificially. In fact during industrialization an entire family including children would work in a factory.

I didn't even need to watch the video to know it's the environment they did it in that sets off the disgust. There's so many subtile things in it that you're unaware you're reacting to, too. Most of them aren't "cheering" their items of clothing. They're cheering their position, physical appearance, and personalities rather than just a couple of cute pieces of what they've got on. That also sets off conceited alarm bells. Any overblown opinion of themselves. That's why most people felt like it was just gross and wrong even if they couldn't articulate why. Edit: The very idea it was something they did that was spontaneous is also false. There's a reason they pointed to things other than their clothing. Most likely to market their company to potential buyers and investors.

Then I guess that's most of the internet. Believe it or not, you're allowed to express your opinion. You're allowed to examine why you have the opinion you do. I know exactly why as a woman this was distasteful to me and it has little to do with them being women. Especially when something goes viral. It was silly to do for anyone running a business because now this is what potential investors, distributors, etc are going to see when they search this company. A bunch of people being unprofessional and bragging about their position or physical features. I think a lot missed several of them aren't saying what they're wearing, but instead personal things about themselves. It's like watching an entire office read inspirational posters.

This! I don't know why so many men in the comments don't get this. Simps I guess. I'm a woman and it got under my skin. Seeing a bunch of barely 20 year olds running a company and pretending they're all that and a bag of chips is insufferable. I'd feel the same way if it was a bunch of 20 year old men acting like that in that position. Your brain is just screaming " What do you do? How did you earn this position?" "Who financed this company?"

@Brainjoy01 Nobody cared about the other ones. Only the office one. Stop trying to conflat them. These particular ones weren't about what they were wearing. How are "Itty bitty titties and an attitude" or "Gen Z boss" their clothes? THAT'S what came off as gross. Especially the Gen Z boss because probably even unaware to the viewer you start wondering how a very young Gen Z woman got into that position. Add in that the entire office is clearly female and it raises more questions in the back of your mind you're not aware of. Plus they're clearly at work not working. There's so many subtile things that you unconsciously notice that makes it off putting. I haven't even watched Sargon's video past the snippet of that video and understand why it upset people.

@mo.ka.9661 Joe Rogan isn't sitting in an office as the head of a company. Joe Rogan was in the public eye for decades before he started doing that. He wasn't 20-24 years old at the head of a company. He was wealthy long before he did that. He was on News Radio, he was the host of a long running game show, he was an announcer for the UFC, and was a comedian throughout all those. You're trying to compare someone that took decades building a career and a bunch of women running a company fresh out of college.
