He makes note that humans are considered the weakest race and easiest to corrupt. It was never grey morality. It was just humans are easily lead by their emotions which is what makes them so easy to corrupt. All of those were simple emotions, not a morality issue. Denethor was corrupted.

There's confusion because Tolkien never specified how they came to be. The one in the Silmarillion is the 3rd book, which Tolkien didn't put together. He published the first 2. The last was compiled by his son of his writings after his death. There are 3 different ways Tolkien toyed with and they're all in books published after his death from his writings.

I don't think he'd write himself a weakling that's easily killed by orcs. That's what they've done to him in this show.

Write your own world for yourself instead of messing with someone else's. That's not how Tolkien's world works.

@pipgang8566 That's not what the comment says. He's a bad storyteller because he can't let a hero be a hero so will never be able to finish it. If you can't finish your story, you're not a good storyteller.

So the heroes don't all fall short? Aren't flawed? Pretty sure they all are.

They're two men.

No. Just no. Why would an orc care about passing on his genes? He only wants to k1ll and harm. They're chaos as Morgoth corrupted them to be. Bent only on destruction. They wouldn't have families and they wouldn't care about any offspring. You're making assumptions about their children that have no basis. We don't know about Elf children either other than they have them and they stop aging once they reach adulthood. We don't know if that's a long time or a short time. We don't know if they're helpless at birth. I don't even understand the desire to know such details. It's like article of the interview with Martin. Why do you think such explicit details matter? It's irrelevant to the story.

Except you can't because Tolkien made it clear they're all bad. That breaks the lore. You can certainly create your own world that's like that.
