  1.  @phukyerpheefees  You're not supposed to reuse some plastics because they've been found to release particles into liquids they contain when exposed to sunlight that cause cancer. You are correct that the whole recycling stuff was just a big lie. There are still recycling plants, but most of the stuff labeled as such isn't so very little that gets taken to them can be used. Everything else was/is shipped to China who then just dumped in the ocean. They had a nice scheme going.

  2. All those species will also adapt. That's a real problem with environmentalists and how they think. They think of everything as static and want to put the Earth in a holding pattern. That's not how it works. Things will go extinct and new things will replace them. That's how life survives. It's ever evolving and humans thinking they have the power to just freeze the whole process is just ego. That's why I'm a conservationist. I want to protect certain areas for as long as possible and understand we can preserve species in small controlled environments so they're available to be seen and observed by future generations long after they're no longer sustainable in the wild. Then the entire process can be seen in real time.

  3. Brad is correct. Many countries were paying China to recycle their plastics. China took the money and dumped it in the ocean. That was uncovered a few years ago.
