That's intentional. That's why a CPA tells you to keep records for 5 years, 3 minimum. They know most people don't and that they'll just pay when threatened.

Because AI doesn't really do that. It doesn't make sense of things. It simply gives you the most likely response. It can list the possible outcomes of something, but it doesn't figure out the sense of it.

Just more proof we're regressing. This is why there were hearings in the 80s and 90s about the IRS having too much power so it was rolled back by Congress. The argument was when a Congressman is terrified when they see a letter from the IRS, there's a problem with an imbalance of power. The IRS was shrunk down to its current state. It had gotten expanded to find illegal money and laundering, but instead it was targetting everyday citizens and seizing their assets. Everybody knew someone that had gotten audited.

Then you don't make $250 K a year. That's your revenue. You're profit is $ 38,000. You make $38,000 a year. Just like a farmer may make $1 million when they sell their crop, the bulk goes to preparing for next year and paying off loans they took out to plant this year meaning they make very little.

@lordvyvyan Property taxes have been a thing since Rome. They're not new. You don't own all of it. You don't own what's beneath the surface. You own what's on top. The county or city owns everything else. That's why you have to get permits to build stuff, they can zone it how they want, etc. You own the house. That's it.

We are represented. You're either extremely ignorant of what the founders meant by that or intentionally twisting it to suit your own ends. They wanted a representative in the House of Commons. To vote one in to be sent to England to represent their interests. You have multiple of those. Your House Representative and your Senator. Your community voted them into place. If you want a direct democracy then you're SOL and even dumber than I first suspected. That's mob rule which becomes tyrannical. I'm seeing several posts like this which is beyond suspicious. Go look for others to radicalize for your agency to justify it's budget. Glowing so bright in here I need shades.
