I think it's because people here think of things like the Italian mafia when it comes to organized crime. Cartels don't operate like that. They're brutal. There's no code other than death.

There's someone in the comments saying he rounded up a bunch of innocent people. They've literally branded themselves. Anyone that didn't earn them and just got them done the cartel would have eliminated themselves.

I actually tend to agree. This would fall under letting a community decide for itself in libertarianism.

She gets her greencard first. Then after so many working quarters she can apply for citizenship. She should be able to get a passport from El Savador to travel on. My husband being a permanent resident didn't curtail our out of country travel. With permanent residency she has pretty much the same rights as a citizen except voting in federal elections. Edit: When going through customs be sure to present the passport AND greencard. Then it should be no problem. She'll be listed as a permanent resident in the system that they check.

@BH-qs7vo How is it an "industrial complex"? It's not privately owned or contracted out.

@EcceHomo1088 First you're going to need to define freedom because that's not what liberalism says. It's liberty. They are not the same things. Then you're going to need to explain to me how "freedom" means you get to go around terrorizing citizens and killing them. Freedom isn't the absence of laws. It requires laws for people to enjoy true liberty.

@JimmyGoldberg-ux8ik My husband's Canadian and we had to go through that.

Yes. It was a tactical decision that worked. The soldiers saw it on the way, became horrified and afraid, and retreated. He intentionally put their fellow Ottomans on them.

MS-13 started here. A lot of them are US citizens. They started from the children of immigrants inside the US. As they were being prosecuted many went back to El Savador after serving their sentences or fled there to avoid prosecution. They then set up operations inside El Savador. That's also not the only cartel in El Savador. Those coming now are the ones he failed to round up because they either hid, went to another country they have operations in like Mexico or Columbia, or were lower level that hadn't earned their tattoos yet. Mexican is still the majority coming across. Just other countries numbers have increased too.

He's not. He's El Salvadoran. He would be of Palestinian decent. Those are not the same things. That's like saying I'm German because my ancestors were from there. I'm not ethnically or culturally German. I'm simply descend from someone that was. By your logic the English are really German because the Anglo Saxons were German tribes. Edit: This is a serious disconnect with Americans and the rest of the world. People in the US claiming to be Irish or Scottish when they've never even set foot there. Many for generations. That's not how anywhere else in the world views what makes someone Irish or Scottish. Unless you're physically from there, you're not Irish or Scottish.

I don't think he cares if they get prosecuted.

Since he's not Muslim not well.

Funny because political analysis has him a populist conservative. While the party you're referring to was certainly populist, it wasn't conservative. You're going to need to point to the old ways and traditions he was trying to preserve to prove otherwise. Instead he favored the left and despised the right as weak while technically being neither. I'm not really sure, nor really care, why there's this obsession with shoving him onto one side or the other when he hated and persecuted both. Edit: You're comment just shows your own ignorance on both subjects. El Savador is a constitutional republic and has been since 1841. While yes Germany was one before WWII, it had only been one for about 20 years. There's a big difference between having a system for over 100 years and having one for 20. Even Communists understand a system that's been in place for 100 years becomes the norm and default in how a country functions.

This IS true. It's in retaliation for supporting the attempted coup. Some are saying El Savador are as well but that's not really true. It's a completely different set of circumstances because many in MS13 are US citizens.
2
This IS what's happening. Some are saying the President is sending them and to extent yes but also no. The ones he'd be sending are already US citizens. That's just deporting foreign criminals which we also do. The others are fleeing him. It's not like MS13 and other cartel there don't operate in other countries.

@BH-qs7vo Not unless he got tattoos that signal he's a member which would be incredibly stupid because the cartel would have killed him for it. Edit: Everyone rounded up had conveniently branded themselves for easy identification.

No. There would be way more than there are. These are the few he failed he capture or that hadn't yet earned their markings. What's bad is they technically meet the qualifications for aslym. They're being persecuted by their government.
