@vicvega3614 Then maybe the EU should have stayed out of Ukraine to begin with. They dangled the carrot that kicked this whole thing off. The EU is still dangling potential membership to Ukraine if they turn away from Russia and clean their act up. Edit: Contrary to the current narrative, it wasn't NATO membership that set Russia off. That didn't even enter into talks until after Crimea, though Putin was concerned about it. It was Ukraine rejecting trade with Russia for an exclusive trade deal with the EU and the EU promising the citizens if they did they'd immediately enjoy an economy comparable to theirs.

Under 2,000 deployed doesn't require Congressional oversight. Over that, Pepper's post kicks in. That's how we can have small groups of troops/special forces deployed all over the world. It was announced earlier we had military physical presence in Ukraine a couple of weeks ago. Intelligence and a "training" force has been there since right after it started.
