Them being sent to NYC was never intended. This administration has been busted several times flying them out in the middle of the night to smaller towns and preferably red ones. While that was intentional, having them sent to already blue areas wasn't. Otherwise they wouldn't have tried to force Texas to keep them with that stupid "remain in Texas" policy.

Why should they? They were put there by the government because when they voted in sanctuary city status they added a right to shelter. A right no citizen has. When studies came out saying they cost each taxpayer about $8,000 a year, when the numbers coming were much lower, I was called racist for pointing out it's proven they're a drain and take more than they add by people in those areas. Coming from a poor small town in one of the poorest states and having to deal with them draining our few resources for decades, ya'll get zero sympathy from me.

These places are finding out the federal government puts the burden on the local taxpayers. They thought because their buddy was in charge he'd bail them out while continuing to ignore the border states being drained. It's been very weird watching us go from agreeing as a nation that illegal immigration was bad and put a burden on the systems to it being split politically for open borders in just a few years. There was no problem getting funding under Obama to build a border fence. Then it was an immediate u-turn by Democrats just a couple years later. I understand it's a political strategy playing the long game, but they're finding out it's not tolerated by the citizens. It's getting interesting.
