  2. He was one Mitch pointed to. Trump appointed several to appease the old Republicans because Mitch was threatening to block any legislation if he didn't. There weren't enough within the GOP yet that could counter act him. There are two battle fronts with the establishment. One is the unelected officials that have been entrenched in government for decades and the other is the politicans on both sides that have been in government for decades and that includes people like Mitch McConnell.

  3. That was never real. The news has always been curated to tell the people only what they think you deserve to know. You'll get the occasional investigative reporter who will go after the big fish, but it's always been rare, especially after 9/11.

  4. Barr didn't indict Hunter, didn't prosecute people involved in Cross Fire Hurricane, etc. He will protect the institutions even when the institutions are wrong and corrupt because he believes, like many others, that they are more important than the people. He will protect the machine.
