Plus every system has a private option so there's still private insurance available, private hospitals, and private doctors. The care between the rich and poor won't change and it's cute that you think it will. You're average care will just decline to what the poor have now. I know, my husband is Canadian and I gave birth there in a government hospital. It was a horrible experience. My government covered Medicaid that paid for the birth of my second child in the US was far better. In Canada I had pretty much no control over my care. Edit to add: Your claim of better outcomes based on healthcare system is also flawed because it's much more likely due to a healthier lifestyle. Especially when you factor in they have a percentage of their population die waiting for care/lack of care than we do.
