It's really upsetting. After watching them so carefully seperate themselves from these people during the main movement only to see them now take it over is stomach turning. I've seen the people that were in it being removed from the parades, if they even go. I've even seen them attacked. In my capital, there are 2 separate celebrations. There's a parade in the gay district that's a normal one as in no kids and no sex. Then there's one through the main part that's the debauchery one. You'd think it would be the other way around. Edit: "Queer" will always be a derogatory term no matter how much straight people with kinks try to use it.

Yeah the "season" of Pride is ridiculous. Honestly just celebrating at all where you stick your junk is weird. It went from a day, to a week, to a month, and now they're pushing for a season. I'm pretty sure the idea is eventually this will just be everyday and that's not going to work. There's rainbow crap all year already, there's no need for this.

@kathrynowens3324 Mom and pop stores again which I'm there for. Service was better, items were better quality, money stayed in the community, etc.

They are indeed. They hoped on the men in women bathrooms real quick and jumped on the genderless children sections in toys and clothes. I don't live near one so very rarely go anyway.

Ignore the Bible Thumpers. In the states the LGB has pretty much split from the rest of it. They want nothing to do with this and are pushing back as much as they can. They know they're the ones that will pay the price for this.

@lukemcevoy2385 Max hit the nail on the head. Too many corporations became dependent on investors rather than customers. They wanted to keep expanding when their wallets said not yet or predict where the next new trend will be to jump on it quickly. We've effectively been in a recession since the pandemic and that was another huge money sink for businesses. All the new stuff and workers they had to hire to comply with the regulations during it didn't just come from those government loans. They all had to implement home delivery, put up all these barriers, limit in store shopping, etc. That was a big hit across the board. They will never recoup that money because none of it was done to increase sales but to just continue to be able to operate. So now everybody needs loans to keep going and keep expanding but interest rates are high. So they know they're going to be stuck with these new loans for a long time because they'll barely be able to just pay the interest on them every year.
