I love that throughout that period the media only focused on Texas when 13 states were suffering massive power outages and rolling blackouts. I think it was Mississippi that had just as many without power for the same amount of time. My town maintained power, but no delivery trucks could get in for over a week so we were running out of food and gas. Not a peep from the media or federal government about us. No help offered, no nothing. I guess we could have starved because it wasn't politically useful to notice us. Edit: Our hydroelectric froze so we had issues for about 2 days, but we're on the federal grid so they didn't want to call attention to it.
