  2.  @SaneMillennial  You did read past tax did you? They're not claiming the amount. They're claiming that because they couldn't pay in their own currency. I seriously doubt the validity of it because that was not in the Declaration of Independence which was a list of their grievances. Taxes themselves weren't either. It was that they were denied a seat in the legislature and had to pay them.
