@Cameron Pangborn If you think it was only over tea you don't know history at all. The crown was attempting to disarm them, had stamped all the good trees as belonging to the crown leaving only the bad stuff for settlers to use or purchase from the crown, and several other things. I'll also remind everyone John Adams defended the British troops in their trial for the massacre.

I really don't know how much they are in that racket anymore since the feds broke them up and the old code is gone. The Hells Angels took care of other gangs in the Maple Ridge area in British Columbia, but the old leader died and the new one has had them leave the area. So now it's back to lots of gang violence. It's an excellent example of what happens very quickly when large organizations no longer act in an area.

@phoenixobrien163 Meanwhile people like me and my hubby salivate over the old houses that need restoration thinking "someday". Still not happy we didn't go for a renovated 1920s home when we were in the market a year ago. Wasn't an outlandish price, $200,000 for a 5 bed/2 bath 2 story home on 3/4 an acre. Was in a bad neighborhood and was the first house done on the street. They even had a clawfoot tub in it.
