That's charged when it can't be determined how the now corpse died. They can't prove murder so they go with failing to report it and desecration if it's mutilated. It's considered a biohazard.

@lefantomer Yes murder usually carries a life sentence. This particular case, which was real, she carried it to term, hide the pregnancy from everyone except the boyfriend, was in labor but didn't want to miss prom, gave birth in the bathroom, strangled the baby, threw it in the dumpster behind the school, and went back to enjoying her prom. In what way does any of that look like trauma? It does look like a psychopath though. At no point were there any indications of panic on her part. It was all very methodical. Edit: Other female students testified they heard her making noises in the stall and saw blood, but she always said she was fine when asked if she needed help and said she was okay. Abortion was legal at the time so there was no excuse for it.

@matsv201 Yes she gave birth in a bathroom stall during prom. She then strangled/smothered the baby and threw it in the dumpster behind the school. She went back to dancing with her boyfriend and enjoying her prom afterwards. This was a real case while abortion was legal.

It's a real case. I went over it in my other comment. Yes it was real and she was convicted of murder. As she should have been.

@bologna3048 They're just trying to justify their enjoyment of it which was on a superficial level. I was looking forward to it until the word of mouth came out. It looked like a Clueless or something from the trailers. I will give the actors credit for trying to warn people they were misleading.

There have always been some forms of contraception. Rubbers have been in existence in some form for thousands of years as well as herbal ways and rhythm method. The very idea of it being illegal is far newer than they are. Plus good luck enforcing that unless you also throw out the 4th and 5th.

@KuroKumo96 The type of case Styx is talking about would only occur if the woman completely neglected prenatal care. As someone that's had preeclampsia for both my pregnancies, it almost always occurs in the third trimester, it's not allowed to continue past a few weeks before labor is induced, only birth cures it. That means just killing the baby doesn't stop it. Either way, you're going to go through delivery. Abortion is pointless and unnecessary. It's caused by the hormones produced during pregnancy. Those hormones don't stop until a few days after giving birth. The body will continue to produce them as long as there's an object in the womb because they're preparing the body for delivery. Edit: Also as long as you don't breastfeed, you can be given blood pressure medication during labor. During the first one I was having symptoms of heart distress during labor (felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest) and was given them to prevent a heart attack. I went through a natural birth following that. Also controlling the pain reduces blood pressure as well so epidurals help.
