Why that division in the FBI even exists needs to be looked into because the premise of its creation, Russian interference, was proven false or at least no more than usual and extremely limited. The investigation found Ukraine and China interfered far more than Russia. Unfortunately the FBI has a history of these types of operations against the citizenry so it's much more difficult to brush off as a one off.
