  1. When you poll the Republican party, most people in it don't like McConnell. Democrats polled love Pelosi. Abortion was not an issue. I'm in Oklahoma. It's one of the very few that instituted a ban. No exception except life of mother. The most extreme in the country. Tulsa and OK city went blue for governor, but it wasn't enough for the Republican to be ousted. Federal elections were solid red. Even in those areas. So if there were concerns of a federal abortion issue, Democrats ran on that in their ads, it wasn't federally to the vast majority of voters. The Republicans running for federal positions ran on the economy and education.
