  3. Russia was banned from all Olympics due to cheating and using steroids. That has nothing to do with the war. That's why the very few Russian athletes that competed did so under the Olympic flag this winter. You're conflating two completely separate things. There's a documentary about how they figured how to get around the security of the tests and cheat using someone else's urine or their own that they'd stored. It was done by the government so they got banned. Edit: An athlete blew the whistle on it.
