@Muse22sims Obama did a study looking into universal pre-K. By the 3rd grade, everyone leveled back out. It didn't help the children get ahead or be more educated in the long run. That's because of how children's brains develop. They simply can't comprehend certain things until a certain age. To put it bluntly, it's nothing but a waste of taxpayer dollars that won't benefit the taxpayers at all. Most elderly already qualify for Medicaid on top of Medicare. Expanded Medicaid from the ACA already covers those things. The ones that already don't get it are the ones that saved for their retirement instead of depending only on social security. The people that saved close to a million to finish out their life. The ones you call "rich" because you don't understand that money has to last them for 20+ years. Drugs were already cheaper, but Biden repelled Trump's EO that did that. It allowed Medicare to negotiate prices and allowed citizens and pharmacies to purchase medications from other countries. Now they care about that?

It's all good. The bill contains a section for tree equity.

All it takes is one business in the supply chain that creates the final product to raise their price. Then the price of production goes up and cost follows. If you think every business can afford to eat the increase, you're nuts. These increases will affect every business no matter the size. Plus, not passing on increases especially in today's volatile market, wouldn't be good business. So in reality what you end up with is an increase in the goods to make the product and then the increased tax from the government all or most of it being passed onto consumers. Edit: I make handmade goods and textile art that I sell. Any increase in cost gets passed on. Even if I buy it on sale, they are charged as if it wasn't. That's because I make very little towards the cost of my labor. An example is I made something as a gift that took 200 hours of my time to make. The most I could have of sold it for is $200 because nobody is going to pay $2000 + the cost of supplies.
