@TheHamgamer I was thinking similar thoughts. There's the problem of food too. Everything was giant during that period which is why they were. A T-Rex, if it was alive today, would be much smaller. Like the Sabertooth Tiger turned into the tiger. Edit: CO2 levels were very high causing the Earth to be hot and caused plants to grow huge. That in turn made everything else bigger. The most stable period of the Earth's climate.

I thought this was going to be about the species we thought were extinct that we recently found or the bird that went extinct and then re-evolved back. Edit: Dinosaurs laid eggs so it wouldn't need a womb. They weren't mammals. They wouldn't survive today because there's not a large enough food source. They were that big because everything else was also.

@joannleichliter4308 Yes the Earth's climate has always been very volatile. The most stable time period was the millions of years before and during the dinosaurs. The Earth had much higher CO2 levels, the ice caps were small and seasonal, and pretty much everywhere was hot.

Same as far as preferring dark meat and liking the irony taste of duck. Though being only white meat that would make it a heart healthy alternative.

Wooly Mammoths were herbivores. They wouldn't eat or stalk people. Sabertooth definitely would.

Someone in another comment said rats. They ate the eggs and chicks. The Tasmanian tiger was due to cats.

Everything wild is gamey. Try eating deer without soaking it. Pigeons are eaten pretty much the world over, even in the West. I've personally never tried it but I know it's served in fancy expensive restaurants.

They're also very large. They wouldn't fit in a purse.

That's what I thought this was going to be about. Apparently several previously thought extinct animals were found this year but I don't think any other at that incredible level of being brought back.

They wouldn't be able to live today. It would have to be a miniature one compared to the original. Most of those, their descendants still live today. Just the modern day everything is smaller version.

I had one that wandered up to my house once. I didn't eat it. The cats were hilarious. At first you could tell they were trying to figure out how to take it out. They figured out they couldn't and left it alone. It ended up eating beside them at the food bowls. We did kill it because the city refused to come get it and it was making a mess of our porch with droppings everywhere.

Honestly humans being directly involved in war is going to be a thing of the past soon. Meaning it's a waste of resources to even bother trying to develop them. It's much more lucrative as a commercial thing than military. They would be extremely situational. It's better left to the private sector and then the military can use it.
