@chucknorris277 They've already said because he was out of state and due to the pandemic, the statute of limitations was legally extended. Unfortunately because this is in New York there's not going to be any unbiased judges to appeal this to. It should be thrown out because there's no evidence the money came from campaign finances which is what the case rests on.

They think he's going to become a dictator. As insane as it is, as protected as our system is against it to the point it would take a very bloody war and a tearing up of the Constitution, that's what they truly have been made to believe. It's important to understand what they believe to understand why they celebrate the very thing they claim he's doing, the destruction of "our democracy". Ford pardoned Nixon even though he wasn't facing any charges. Biden has tried to revoke Trump's clearance so he could be indicted on the same thing Biden's guilty of so I don't believe a pardon will be coming from the current administration.

@js7un165 There's zero evidence to support the claim the money came from campaign funds. It doesn't matter why he paid them. Paying someone to protect a run for office isn't against campaign finance laws as long as the money wasn't from that fund. Plus campaign finance laws are federal. He wasn't running for a state office so that charge doesn't fall under the jurisdiction of New York. Edit: Stormy Daniels has lost every case she's tried to bring against him. She signed an NDA after the payment which is common in any settlement. A lot of wealthy people and celebrities get accused of stuff and they settle for a small amount to just make it go away even of they didn't do anything. It's because it's cheaper to pay someone a couple hundred thousand than spend close to a million fighting it in court. Aside from the political stuff, this sets a terrible precedent for everyone going forward.
