  1. @Doris Karloff Most do understand that government is needed and taxes as well. The idea is as little as possible. Fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Do what you want as long as it doesn't violate someone else's rights. It's basically what this country was founded on. Just like everything there are extremists who don't want any government or taxes, but most understand the necessity of them. When you see us talk about the importance of property rights you have to understand that that includes our person/body. Anything that is yours falls under property rights.

  2.  @SpoonNFriends  This country was founded on libertarian ideas. Our Constitution is the most libertarian document in existence. Since that's what the Founders were, a lot of them have died fighting for it, including my ancestors. Mine didn't die in a prison, they died on the battlefield so I'd say they did more than your grandfather. On top of that, a member of my family has fought in every conflict since as well. You are confusing little l with big L. You seem radicalized and unhinged. Good luck with that.

  3.  @VengefulPolititron  What? You need to learn history. Victimless crimes weren't crimes until recently. We've had a gay President. Everyone knew he was. His opponents wrote about constantly, yet he was elected anyway. Women were allowed to marry each other in the 1800s, drugs weren't illegal until prohibition, and various other "morality" laws. Sure you can find them in city ordinances but they weren't national until recently. The idea that it's fine as long as it doesn't violate someone else's rights is what this country was founded on. It wasn't founded on religious principles or what was "moral" because those can change and differs from person to person. We have pursuit of happiness enshrined in our Constitution for that reason. Judging by your rant, you don't care for the Constitution so maybe you should join the crazies trying to overthrow it.
