  1. The thing is it's been accepted that sometimes the President will break the law in pursuit of their duties. It's going to happen. That's why immunity was established in the first place. If a President is concerned they'll be prosecuted even if what they did was in the best interest and what was required at the time, it's going to get ugly. It's like how undercover officers break the law while trying to catch the bad guys so they don't blow their cover but don't face prosecution. Obviously there's a line if treason is concerned, but we have yet to reach it so until we do immunity should stand regardless how some people may react to it.
