Colic is what usually will cause babies to cry, not allergies. Also teething can occur even in newborns, though it's rare. Newborns should be tended to when crying because of possible undiscovered health issues. Leaving them to cry when they are a bit older doesn't cause psychological problems. That's if they are rarely or ever held, which will cause serious developmental delays. Children don't form memories until 2-3. That doesn't mean abuse won't cause brain problems, just that leaving them to cry for awhile won't. Also recieving unsolicited advice from complete strangers was extremely annoying when I was a new mother. I'd suggest not doing it unless it's close family because it's none of your business.

@fraserfir19 Cats aren't bad for babies and neither are dogs. I'm not sure why you hate cats, but that's a you problem, not a Styxx's problem.

@j.joseph5353 Colic is stomach issues, usually gas. It's worse with formula feed babies. Sometimes it's just normal gas because babies are getting accustomed to their stomach working and producing it, or if it's excessive it can mean something is wrong in the digestive system. Gas bubbles can be uncomfortable for adults who understand what it is. Babies don't know so they cry from the discomfort of them.

@bunberrier That's the dumbest thing ever. Obviously your parents did far more than leave you to cry yourself to sleep as an infant. If that's really the worst thing they did to you, this doesn't make them look bad. It makes you look like a spoiled, uncaring child throwing a tantrum over something you don't remember because humans don't form memories until 2-3 years old.

The lab was under Chinese control, regardless of funding. They are the ones with lax safety protocols and who kept it quiet for months. The US, and a couple other countries also that funded, has it's part in it, but it's hardly the one responsible.
