BarryJPR That is funny! I dread going to visit the hubby's family in Canada. They are full on TDS. They think Obama walked on water too. It's funny that I voted for both. Only the first Obama term though. My sister-in-law posted a meme about stay home and protect your fellow people and an hour later one supporting the protests. It's insanity.

@YargMonster Awww mad that Apple is moving production out of China? The main reason a lot of manufacturing went there is because of cheap labor and no environmental regulation to drive down profit margins. Now that China is increasing pay and putting in regulations, it's time to move on. All manufacturing won't come back to the US, but essential supplies never should have gone there in the first place. How are the runs on banks doing over there? You know that only happens when the economy is about to collapse and people are worried the banks are failing. Repercussions for this virus and Hong Kong aren't going so well for y'all over there. Too bad so sad.

Same in Arkansas. We were one of the last to shutdown and only did it for a bit over a month. In some areas our unemployment is 6.5 to 5.5%. We'd been sitting at around 3.4% unemployment for a couple of years before the shutdowns. Most red states have come through this much better than most blue ones. We didn't suffer as much economic loss and our death rate tends to be lower. In fact death rates are lower in states that didn't totally shutdown than in states with long and severe shutdowns. It looks like it was a failed experiment, but at least we'll have a better understanding of how to handle it the next time. Partial shutdowns and only go full shutdown for hotspots.

@Dan-ud8hz The death rate for children is less than the flu with the vaccine. 54 children died from the flu this past flu season. You're "killing children" is totally inaccurate and unscientific. Meanwhile statics show a huge increase in suicide, child abuse (including molestation and rape), in heart attack deaths, and long term consequences for cancer patients and others that had surgeries and treatments postponed due to the lockdowns. All of those deaths are far more than from the virus. That's from several articles and Bill Gates. The worldwide effect for 3rd world countries is going to be catastrophic. So the evidence isn't antecedent, it's real and it's horrible.
