@somuchfortalent It doesn't matter because it's still an ethics violation regardless of the jurisdiction. Otherwise lawyers couldn't commit crimes which they most certainly can, including accessory. Just like a psychologist has an ethical requirement to report abuse or if a patient intends to commit a crime against someone else like try to kill them or attack them. Confidentiality has a limit and that limit is the commission of a crime. This is gone over in detail in law school ethics class and in ethics class in psychology. Edit: Just like you can't hide evidence from the court, can't intentionally toss a case, can't misrepresent your client, etc. Lots of ethics when you're a servant of the court which includes lawyers, psychologists, social workers, etc.

They should be reported to the BAR and sanctioned if not disbarred. That entire organization of lawyers needs to be. They knowingly go to "observe" criminal activity. Since these attacks are posted openly, they likely wouldn't face any repercussions, but participating is a whole different bag of worms and those certainly should be.
