I was born in 72 and remember it. It's amazing that when something is that impactful, you remember it's effects even though you were young. Nobody could afford a car or house. You had to be careful how much you drove because gas was hard to come by and expensive because it was rationed. If it wasn't in season, it wasn't available in the grocery stores. It's hard to imagine why the powers that be would intentionally cause an energy crisis knowing what happens. Most of them were alive to remember it, so they don't have that excuse. The younger ones I get. I had to explain to someone a few days ago why we don't dig up and farm the plains.

Now we're entering the phase where the government will continue to spend and print more money, driving inflation higher, trying to offset the effects on the economy that their money printing and spending has caused. Hopefully the Republicans will close the purse strings when they take the House.
