  1. The problem with the ice cores is that they aren't that old either because the Earth has had a lot of periods with no ice caps. We've known the climate from millions of years ago thanks to geologists who also first identified the ice ages. According to them, it's 2000 years until the oceans rise and that's only if nothing changes which is highly unlikely. I trust geologists for the most part. A lot more than I do "climate scientists" which is a really new field trying to justify it's existence. Edit: Another problem with ice cores is we have no way of knowing where those water molecules originated from. They are capturing a moment in time that could have only affected a small area, not global.

  2. There is a true consensus on climate change, it's just not the less than 1% of scientists that governments and MSM are pushing. It's 2000 years for the ice caps to melt and the oceans to rise. Yes humans have impacted it, but the biggest impact is because of a plate shift that's caused the currents to change and warm the oceans. Unless we can change that, and we can't, there's little we can actually do. We should be preparing for the change, not trying to fight against it.
